Sessie 15 - Uktar 22 (Day 38)
After another full day of traveling the party finaly nears Maerymidra. They enter a cave complex and discover a strange lone grimlock and several singing drow gardeners. After setting off a series of traps, the party is surprised by a beholder who starts blasting the party. The drow and grimlock enter combat just before the beholder uses it's central eye to suppress magic. During the combat brother Wilfred and Carolus are slain. An invisible mindmage confuses Saul who starts attacking his companions. In the end Saul is killed as well and the mad hermit and Rohi have to flee, taking the corpses of Saul and brother Wilfred with them. The mad hermit later returns to reclaim the body of Carolus.
Sessie 15 - Uktar 20 (Day 36)
The party enters a cavern and are greeted by troglodytes. The mad hermit negotiates with them in their strange tongue. But the toll the troglodytes ask for passage is too high for the party and they engage them in combat. The combat goes bad and the party is forced to retreat fightingly. The mad hermit is forced to bring down the passage with an earthquake and seal it off. During the battle brother Wilfred is killed and after the battle Saul has to return him to life. The mad hermit burrows a passage past the cave-in so the party can continue their journey.

Sessie 14 - Uktar 19 (Day 35)
After traveling through more of the underdark the party enters a tunnel almost filled with water. When they are travelling through and above the water for several hours, they encounter a massive ooze. The ooze warps reality around it and due to this fickle reality Danyx is send to another plane before Carolus can kill it.
When Danyx arrives on Arcadia, he can contact a local wizard who sends him back to the party.

Sessie 14 - Uktar 17 (Day 33)
After leaving the wizard's tower, the party retrace their tracks down the underdark tunnels. After two days of traveling back, the party enters a large cavern and hear chittering noises that the mad hermit recognises as belonging to spiders. When they cross the cavern, spiders drop from the ceiling and attack. More spiders appear and although they are slain in great numbers, they keep on coming. In the end, the arachnomancer that controls them has to flee as he is unable to prevent the party from passing through his domain.
The party can continue their journey until they reach the crossroads once more. From their they continue along the other path.

Sessie 13 - Uktar 15 (Day 31)
After traveling for two more days, the party crosses a huge cavern when they are attacked by a mob of earth elementals and reptilian spellcasters. The spellcasters also summon air elementals and a brutal fight erupts. After killing two of the four spellcasters, the other two flee.
The party continues until they reach another large cavern that holds a tower at it's center. The tower's resident is a mad wizard that buys and sells equipment, allowing the party to stock up on magical supplies. The party also buys information and learns a lot of what is happening in Maerymydra. The party is offered instant travel to the gates of Maerymydra.

Sessie 13 - Uktar 13 (Day 29)
When the party travels further, they come upon a fork in the tunnel. They choose the wrong side and arrive at a worked stone cavern complex filled with walls of force and with levers to control them. First Carolus and then brother Wilfred enter the complex. They discover that they cannot enter a room if another partymember is already inside. When Carolus enters the first room a magic item appears, yet when brother Wilfred enters the complex a creature appears and attacks him. Brother Wilfred can kill it easily. When the party advances slowly through the complex, one room at a time per person, more items and creatures appear but are defeated. Even Saul is forced into hand-to-hand combat with a yuan-ti assassin but can defeat him. Moments later the mad hermit is forced to fight a yugoloth demon and is killed. The rest of the party can exit the complex. Saul revives the mad hermit and the party decides to rest and recuperate.

Sessie 12 - Uktar 13 (Day 29)
The next day, the party enters an underground river complex. Some of the rivers are bridged but the party uses other means to cross the rivers until Saul tries to cross one of the bridges. Suddenly a creature drops from the ceiling, attacking Saul and destroying the bridge in the process. Saul and the monster fall into the river and are carried along on the swift current. Carolus, Orih and her companion jump into the water after him but more monsters drop from the ceiling, attacking them. Saul is carried away together with the monster who keeps constricting him until the underground tunnel gets smaller and blocks the monster's passage. Saul is carried on and can get out of the underground river a bit further where he discovers a small crystaline cave and a corpse with a magical stone. In the mean while, Orih, her companion and Carolus loose contact with each other as they are carried on the current down the underground river complex. While the rest of the party is in the water, the monster's masters, two illithids, attack the mad hermit. He fights like a true hero but is killed in the end. Orih can defeat one of the monsters and finds Saul. Although Saul wants to leave the dead priest of Lathander's corpse alone, Rohi wants to take the magical loot. She summons thocquas to dig a tunnel back to the cavern. In a similar way, she can retrieve the other companions. When the party is reunited, Saul revives the mad hermit and the party makes ready to continue their journey.
Sessie 12 - Uktar 12 (Day 28)
The party comes upon a round tunnel covered with green mold. When they contemplate how to cross it when a hurricanelike wind blows through the tunnel and over the party, knocking several prone. The party prepares their magical defences and enter the corridor. They suffer no consequences of the wind but while travelling through the tunnel they encounter a acid-breathing purple worm who seems to be immune to the fungus. Half of the party is stunned by the breath attack, leaving Carolus and Orih to deal with the creature. The paladin can smite the evil creature but dies in the proces. After comming to their senses, Saul and the mad hermit restore the paladin to life and health.
After traveling for a few more hours, the party exits the tunnel and enters a large cavern. When Carolus rings the bell, gargoyles arrive and attack the party with magical bursting beads. The gargoyles drive off the party, forcing them to retreat back into the caverns. They discuss tactics and try again. Using guerillatactics, the party can destroy one of the gargoyles and forces them to bargain for passage. The party hands over a few magical items and is granted the right to climb up the cavern. The mad hermit grants magical climbing ability to the party and the can ascend unmolested.

Sessie 11 - Uktar 11 (Day 27)
The next day, the party continues their journey and pass through a maze. While traversing through the maze, Rohi spots a tiny flying eyeball just before it streaks into the midst of the party and explodes. More eyeballs appear during the following minutes until finally the party stumbles upon the eyeball's creator, a huge flying jellyfish creature that grapples the party's warriors with ease. After it cloaks itself in magical darkness, the party is in for a brutal fight. In the end, the warriors can take out the beast before anyone is seriously injured.
Sessie 11 - Uktar 10 (Day 26)
After resting, the party prepares to attack the temple's statue and summoned defenders. As soon as the first blow is struck against the statue, the floor drops down into the lava and the statue itself animates, breathing poisonous fumes at the party's warriors. The party has forseen this and takes to the air. Moments later, magic starts to fail as the party is harrassed by the dispelling attacks of elementals hidden within the lava. The party is pressed and more than once it's a close call or one of their number would have pummeled into the fiery liquid. But Carolus and Wilfred can destroy the statue. As soon as its remains sink beneath the lava, the floor rises anew above the lava and another section shows the way out through the temple. The party rushes out, slaying at least one of the elementals before leaving the temple behind them.
Sessie 11 - Uktar 9 (Day 25)
After crossing the lake on the back of a polymorphed Orih, the party continues their journey on the other side of the Lake of Shadows.
During the day, the party enters a large cave filled with steam and sissing noise. When the party crosses it, rocks fall down from above, bursting upon impact in screetching explosions. The party is forced to combat spellcasting bats. When they kill one, the other flees and the party can continue their journey.
Further down the tunnel, they hear sounds of combat. When they hurry on, they encounter a halfdragon drow who appears to have just slain a cave full of carrior crawlers. The half-dragon is interested in their journey so far and is willing to exchange information. From the half-dragon, the party learns that 72 days ago, the drow wizards of Marimydra tried to take over control of the city from the drow priestess of Lloth who lost their powers with the silence of their goddess. The wizard archmage leading the coup named Dunteht Wharreil, apparently made a deal with demons and a demon army under the leadership of Kurgoth Demonspawn was laying siege to the city and setting it ablaze. The half-dragon also tells them about the road ahead. They will have to cross Glauroth's Chasm, a rift between this world and the plane of shadow, where gargoyles lair that require tribute for safe passage through their realm. But first the party must pass a temple that requires the sacrifice of an intelligent creature. The party is appalled but decides to check out the temple anyway as going around would take at least a week.
When they arrive at the temple, they discover it is a temple to Imix, god of evil fire elementals. The temple is surrounded by lava and when the party enters the cavern, the floor slowly lowers into the lava, only resurficing when the party leaves the temple. The party searches the temple and discover a magical aura beneath the lava. After protecting brother Wilfred with as much magical spells as possible, the brave monk dives down to retrieve the object. Upon resurficing, the object turns out to be an intelligent magical weapon. It knows of another possibility to open the way. But it warns that destroying the temple's central statue is no easy task. The party decides to retreat beyond the heat of the lava and take their rest.
