Sessie 15 - Uktar 22 (Day 38)

After another full day of traveling the party finaly nears Maerymidra. They enter a cave complex and discover a strange lone grimlock and several singing drow gardeners. After setting off a series of traps, the party is surprised by a beholder who starts blasting the party. The drow and grimlock enter combat just before the beholder uses it's central eye to suppress magic. During the combat brother Wilfred and Carolus are slain. An invisible mindmage confuses Saul who starts attacking his companions. In the end Saul is killed as well and the mad hermit and Rohi have to flee, taking the corpses of Saul and brother Wilfred with them. The mad hermit later returns to reclaim the body of Carolus.

Sessie 15 - Uktar 20 (Day 36)

The party enters a cavern and are greeted by troglodytes. The mad hermit negotiates with them in their strange tongue. But the toll the troglodytes ask for passage is too high for the party and they engage them in combat. The combat goes bad and the party is forced to retreat fightingly. The mad hermit is forced to bring down the passage with an earthquake and seal it off. During the battle brother Wilfred is killed and after the battle Saul has to return him to life. The mad hermit burrows a passage past the cave-in so the party can continue their journey.

Sessie 14 - Uktar 19 (Day 35)

After traveling through more of the underdark the party enters a tunnel almost filled with water. When they are travelling through and above the water for several hours, they encounter a massive ooze. The ooze warps reality around it and due to this fickle reality Danyx is send to another plane before Carolus can kill it.
When Danyx arrives on Arcadia, he can contact a local wizard who sends him back to the party.

Sessie 14 - Uktar 17 (Day 33)

After leaving the wizard's tower, the party retrace their tracks down the underdark tunnels. After two days of traveling back, the party enters a large cavern and hear chittering noises that the mad hermit recognises as belonging to spiders. When they cross the cavern, spiders drop from the ceiling and attack. More spiders appear and although they are slain in great numbers, they keep on coming. In the end, the arachnomancer that controls them has to flee as he is unable to prevent the party from passing through his domain.
The party can continue their journey until they reach the crossroads once more. From their they continue along the other path.

Sessie 13 - Uktar 15 (Day 31)

After traveling for two more days, the party crosses a huge cavern when they are attacked by a mob of earth elementals and reptilian spellcasters. The spellcasters also summon air elementals and a brutal fight erupts. After killing two of the four spellcasters, the other two flee.
The party continues until they reach another large cavern that holds a tower at it's center. The tower's resident is a mad wizard that buys and sells equipment, allowing the party to stock up on magical supplies. The party also buys information and learns a lot of what is happening in Maerymydra. The party is offered instant travel to the gates of Maerymydra.

Sessie 13 - Uktar 13 (Day 29)

When the party travels further, they come upon a fork in the tunnel. They choose the wrong side and arrive at a worked stone cavern complex filled with walls of force and with levers to control them. First Carolus and then brother Wilfred enter the complex. They discover that they cannot enter a room if another partymember is already inside. When Carolus enters the first room a magic item appears, yet when brother Wilfred enters the complex a creature appears and attacks him. Brother Wilfred can kill it easily. When the party advances slowly through the complex, one room at a time per person, more items and creatures appear but are defeated. Even Saul is forced into hand-to-hand combat with a yuan-ti assassin but can defeat him. Moments later the mad hermit is forced to fight a yugoloth demon and is killed. The rest of the party can exit the complex. Saul revives the mad hermit and the party decides to rest and recuperate.

Sessie 12 - Uktar 13 (Day 29)

The next day, the party enters an underground river complex. Some of the rivers are bridged but the party uses other means to cross the rivers until Saul tries to cross one of the bridges. Suddenly a creature drops from the ceiling, attacking Saul and destroying the bridge in the process. Saul and the monster fall into the river and are carried along on the swift current. Carolus, Orih and her companion jump into the water after him but more monsters drop from the ceiling, attacking them. Saul is carried away together with the monster who keeps constricting him until the underground tunnel gets smaller and blocks the monster's passage. Saul is carried on and can get out of the underground river a bit further where he discovers a small crystaline cave and a corpse with a magical stone. In the mean while, Orih, her companion and Carolus loose contact with each other as they are carried on the current down the underground river complex. While the rest of the party is in the water, the monster's masters, two illithids, attack the mad hermit. He fights like a true hero but is killed in the end. Orih can defeat one of the monsters and finds Saul. Although Saul wants to leave the dead priest of Lathander's corpse alone, Rohi wants to take the magical loot. She summons thocquas to dig a tunnel back to the cavern. In a similar way, she can retrieve the other companions. When the party is reunited, Saul revives the mad hermit and the party makes ready to continue their journey.
